Thinking out loud … ‘Everyone has breaking point … When we reach it, we must make a choice: we can choose to stare forlornly at the shattered pieces and do nothing, or we can pick up the pieces and put them painstakingly back together  again.

Granville was admitted to hospital as an emergency patient due to acute renal failure, which untreated would have left him with just a few days to live. Days later he was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer.
