It is more meaningful for your child to relate to these experiences and various life skills if they are introduced to characters in books who are under-going similar encounters, instead of sitting him down and giving him a lecture about disappointment or dishonesty.

About the Author:

Cath Alexander lives in Johannesburg with her family. She is a Junior Primary School teacher and mother of two. She resigned after nearly ten years of full-time teaching, choosing to concentrate on raising her young children and nurturing her love of reading and writing for children.

About the illustrator:

Colleen Brice helps authors share their stories with others through her illustrations. As much as she en-joys drawing, she spends time researching the subjects of the stories for illustrating. 

Colleen’s other artworks can be seen in magazines and textbooks. She studied graphic design at the Ruth Prowse School of Art in Woodstock, and has been a professional illustrator ever since.
