Frequently there is no synchronisation between the parenting style used by the child minder and that adopted by the biological parent/s. Conscious investment is usually not made in the emotional well-being of the child minder.
Warring Souls shows what happens when religious faith is governed by ethical passion ̶ and when it isn’t. It is the story of conflict between 35-year old Sarah Williams, the radical Professor of Christian Ethics at the fictitious St Mark’s College near George, and Dr Gerald Meyer, the recently-appointed and staunchly evangelical vicechancellor, together with their supporters. The story takes place in the first semester of 2006.
Growing up in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa in the 1950’s and 1960’s the emphasis on the way of life was completely different to the present day some nearly 70 years later.
He writes of his reminiscences of his school days and especially his involvement in sport which was compulsory. Many of life’s lessons were learnt young on the rugby or cricket fields.
