The Weaver Birds

This is a story about a young bird called Wendy the weaver. She lived with her parents in the woods where many other birds also lived  Wendy loved to fly, she loved to play, and above all she loved to weave. She loved to fly about, looking for sticks and grass and leaves to build the nest with. But most of all Wendy loved to collect the soft feathers fallen from  the tummies of most bird. These feathers were used to line the nests, making them warm and cosy for when the new baby birds hatched from their eggs. But one day Wendy ran out of feathers. So she called on her neighbours.to see if they had any to spare. She met with surprising responses, which enabled her father to teach her that it is always best to work together with others and to share.
