The book is not just generalistic. It is based on credible insights from published PhD research results, interviews from executives of international companies that have been involved in setting up and running businesses in Africa as well as views from locals that give tips on how it is doing business in their own countries. In addition, the author gives her own views as she has spent five years implementing strategic project in some key markets for one of the big-four South African banks.

 

The book was inspired by PhD research done by the author on South African companies that expanded their operations into other countries on the African continent.
