Dalene Dickson is based in Pietermaritzburg where she obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. She is a retired language teacher, school guidance counsellor and marketing director for a bookshop.
During her career she proofread psychology publications, and was a regular newspaper columnist and book reviewer. She was involved in the biography Mac: The Face of Rugby by John Bishop and co-authored the book Talking Balls with him under her nickname, Tiki. This is her first work of fiction.

Dr Kantha Gareeb
Kantha is a self-motivated, self-employed, and self-funded woman. Her story is not quite rags to riches, but somewhere in between. At the age when people are probably thinking of retirement, she’s thinking of reinvention.
Her academic career has been protracted, leaving her with qualifications in dentistry and medicine. After qualifying as a doctor, she further specialized as an anaesthesiologist. On top of that, she has qualifications in Reiki, medical hypnosis, and The Journey, and she is currently studying metaphysics.
Kantha is also a single mom of two. She has a thirst for new experiences and knowledge, fueling her love for books and travel. But what really fascinates her are ancient cultures, spirituality, and how they tie in to science.

Rendani Isaac Mulaudzi is an Anglican who worships at St Michael and All Angels, Sunnyside, Pretoria. He has served a period of 11 years at Churchwarden or Alternate Churchwarden.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well as numerous other certificates. Rendani comes from a family that has been part of the Anglican Church since 1956. He is an experienced leader and manager in public and not-for-profit organisations.

A medical doctor by profession, Firoz Osman is a founder-member of the Media Review Network, an advocacy group that counters Islamophobia and advocates social justice. He has a special interest in Palestinian political and resistance movements, Zionism, and Islamophobia. He is the co-author of Why Israel? The Anatomy of Zionist Apartheid - a South African perspective, published by Porcupine Press in 2013.

Gideon Botes
Gideon Botes was born and grew up in Brits, a farming town in North West province. After serving in the South African military for a few years in the 1960s, he turned his attention to the building industry, at first as a builder and renovator, and then in various positions in government building control. He has worked for several local and district municipalities in the northern parts of the country as a senior building inspector and today, at 73, he remains a building control specialist contracted by the Greater Tubatse Municipality which is centred on Burgersfort in Limpopo province. Terror in the Night is Gideon’s first book, and he’s already working on a second.

Jane Fox
Born in England in 1935, Jane Fox spent her growing-up years in WW2 near London. At the age of 25 she boarded a Union Castle ship for South Africa and settled in Johannesburg. She retired in 2012, having worked backstage in the professional theatre, in the Stock Exchange, in bookshops, and latterly for publishers as a travelling representative. She has published three novels, three commissioned biographies and two collections of poetry, she has written six plays which have been performed by an amateur company. her short stories have appeared in several South African literary journals. She facilitates weekly ongoing writers' workshops for those wishing to hone their skills.
She lives near Johannesburg in an extended family home.

Maboke Aitken Makgopa
Maboke Aitken Makgopa was born in 1946 and grew up at gaMamahlola in Tsapong Hills in present-day Limpopo province. As an adult, he worked in the Lebowa homeland Department of Education, first in various clerical positions and then as a teacher. To achieve his switch, he studied by correspondence at the University of South Africa, gaining his first a BA degree, then a B.Ed and a Higher Education Diploma. Later in his career, he obtained a Master of Education from the University of Free State. He finally served as Principal of a large technical school in rural Lebowa.

Mokgethi Motlhabi
Mokgethi Motlhabi was born in Kagiso outside Krugersdorp in 1944. His early tertiary education took place at St Peter’s Major Seminary in Hammanskraal. He then served as director of the Educational Opportunities Council, was appointed head of the Department of Contextual Theology and Religion at the University of Venda before receiving a US scholarship to further his studies. This enabled him to gain an MA in Religious Studies in Chicago, and a PhD in Social Ethics from Boston University. Since his return to South Africa in 1980 he has lived with his wife, Rose, in Soweto, and they have two sons.

Nicholas Kerr was born in and has lived all his life in KwaZulu-Natal on the eastern seaboard of South Africa. He holds a B.A. Honours degree in Biblical Studies and a Masters in Linguistics – Intercultural Communication. He began his working life in agriculture, having been employed as a labourer in both KwaZulu-Natal and England when he visited that country as a young man. Peter Wilhelm
Peter Wilhelm is a novelist, poet, and journalist. He has written many books. LM and Other Stories (1975) comes out of his experiences in pre-independence Mozambique; two other collections of stories and the novel The Dark Wood (1977) explore colonialism’s legacy of violence and terror, as does The Healing Process (1988).
He demonstrates his interest in science fiction in some of the short stories and Summer’s End (1984), a book for children. The Mask of Freedom (1994), a dystopian view of South Africa’s destiny, is set in an indeterminate near future in which poverty, population growth, crime, and AIDS have determined social policy to radically limit human freedom.
He has won awards for his writing and reporting, including the Science Fiction Society of SA’s prize and the Pringle Prize for reviews; the Mofolo-Plomer Prize; and the Sanlam Award for Fiction. His work is widely collected.
He has helped edit the memoirs of Colin Eglin, Tony Leon, Jane Raphaely, and others.

Sello Mkhondo is a scholar of the Word and has been a devoted Christian for over 20 years. He has spent most of that time seeking a deeper understanding of scripture and became exposed to varying interpretations and teaching. Seshuanyana J Mohlala
Seshuanyana J Mohlala was born in 1941 and educated to matriculation level in Warmbaths, a rural town 100kms north of Pretoria. After completing his BAand UED degrees in 1969, and a Masters degree in Education in 1990, he spent his entire career in education in the Northern Transvaal, first as a high-school teacher, then as a principal, and finally as an inspector of schools.
All his adult life he has been married to Nomsa P and the couple is blessed with six children. He has recently taken to writing as his hobby.

Simon C Green
Simon Green was born in Jersey and educated at Welbeck College. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Technology from The Open University and a master’s degree in Information Systems from Cranfield University. Commissioned at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1978 into Royal Corps of Signals, he served for nearly 30 years in military appointments in Europe, Brunel, and South Africa. He worked extensively in major military headquarters, giving him a unique insight into the staff who fight war at a strategic level.
He was also involved in training staff officers in operational leadership and war-gaming to develop and hone their war-fighting tactics at lower levels of command. He retired from military service in 2006 and settled in South Africa to pursue his passion for military history and writing.
